Product Description
The THIRDREALITY Voice/Music Assistant Dev Edition is a compact device created for Home Assistant users who want both voice interaction and audio playback in a single unit.
It comes preloaded with Home Assistant Voice Assistant and Music Assistant, following the satellite-style model where captured audio is processed on the Home Assistant host. Returned TTS audio can be played through the integrated 3W speaker.
The Linux-based design allows the device to handle local audio capture, activation, playback, and communication with Home Assistant. Suitable for distributed voice access points and additional audio playback endpoints.
Designed for Home Assistant hobbyists and users building a local-first smart home environment.
The Voice&Music Assistant Dev Edition comes in two versions-one with a Debug Board and one without. What’s the specific difference between them?
The key difference lies in development and debugging capabilities:
Version without Debug Board: Only supports firmware flashing and software updates. Ideal for users who have completed development and only need to deploy or perform basic testing.
Version with Debug Board: In addition to firmware flashing and updates, it also enables real-time log reading, in-depth debugging, on-device development, and direct code editing—making it suitable for engineers or R&D teams working on feature development, troubleshooting, or customization.
