I bought this based on a YouTube review and have to admit it’s been pretty brilliant. The best situation, in my mind, is to use a third party soil monitor and automations in a home automation hub ( I use Home Assistant) rather than just timed watering periods, but you can work out best for your situation. Battery life is good, and the Zigbee has never dropped out on this device. Mine had a slightly noisy pump, but it settled after a few watering cycles. Overall it seems to be very consistent and works well. No leaks, even if the plant pots are lower level than the pump.
